Referral Program Disclosure
Effective Date: 22 November 2025 Last Revised: 22 November 2025
Places To Visit With Dogs (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) may operate one or more referral, affiliate, or recommendation programs (collectively, the “Referral Program”) through which eligible participants (“you”, “Referrers”) can receive rewards, commissions, or other incentives for qualifying referrals. By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to this Referral Program Disclosure, our Terms & Conditions, and our Privacy Policy.
Nature of Rewards, Commissions, and Incentives
- The Referral Program may allow you to earn one or more of the following, as described in the specific offer or campaign you join:
- Fixed cash rewards.
- Percentage-based commissions on qualifying transactions or bookings.
- Credits, discounts, vouchers, or gift cards.
- Non-cash benefits such as promotional items or entries into prize draws.
- The exact structure, value, and conditions of any reward will be specified on the relevant referral landing page, campaign description, email, dashboard, or promotional materials associated with the Referral Program.
- Rewards are only earned for “Qualifying Referrals”, which may require, for example:
- A new user clicking on your unique referral link and completing a defined action (such as signing up, booking, or purchasing).
- Compliance with any minimum spend, booking, or stay requirements.
- Compliance with any time limits or geographic restrictions, as set out in the applicable offer.
- Self-referrals, fraudulent referrals, or referrals made in violation of this Disclosure, our Terms & Conditions, or applicable law will not qualify for rewards, and any such rewards may be withheld, cancelled, or clawed back.
Eligibility to Participate
- To be eligible to participate in the Referral Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
- Reside in a jurisdiction where participation in referral or affiliate programs is lawful.
- We may exclude certain countries, territories, or user groups from participation where required by law, regulation, or our internal policies.
- Businesses, agencies, or influencers participating at scale may be subject to additional terms or onboarding procedures and may be asked to enter into a separate written agreement with us.
- We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to assess eligibility and to suspend or terminate participation in the Referral Program at any time if we suspect misuse, non-compliance, or unlawful behavior.
Referral Conduct and Disclosure Obligations
- When you share your referral link or code, you must:
- Clearly disclose that you may receive a reward or commission if someone uses your link or code and completes a qualifying action.
- Ensure that any statements you make about Places To Visit With Dogs are honest, accurate, and not misleading.
- Comply with all applicable advertising, consumer protection, and endorsement rules in your jurisdiction (for example, using clear labels such as “Ad”, “Advertisement”, “Affiliate link”, or similar where required).
- You must not:
- Misrepresent your relationship with Places To Visit With Dogs (e.g., claiming you are an employee, agent, or official representative if you are not).
- Make unsubstantiated claims about venues, offers, or our services.
- Use spam, unsolicited bulk communications, or misleading tactics to promote your referral link.
- Offer your own undisclosed incentives or rebates to induce people to use your link where this would breach applicable laws or platform rules.
- It is your responsibility to understand and comply with any disclosure or endorsement guidelines applicable in your jurisdiction and on the platforms you use (for example, social media rules on labelling promotional content).
Payout Conditions and Timelines
- Rewards will accrue only after a referral is confirmed as a “Qualifying Referral” under the applicable campaign rules. Confirmation may be delayed to allow for:
- Verification of the referred user’s transaction or booking.
- Expiry of any cancellation or refund window.
- Fraud, abuse, or duplicate-account checks.
- Once confirmed, payouts or credits will typically be processed within the timeframe stated in the specific referral offer, which may, for example, be monthly or after reaching a specified minimum payment threshold.
- Available payout methods (such as bank transfer, payment processor, or vouchers) will be stated in the relevant campaign materials. Some methods may be restricted based on your country of residence or other compliance requirements.
- If a transaction is cancelled, refunded, or found to be invalid or fraudulent after a reward is issued, we may reverse or adjust the reward, including by:
- Deducting the amount from future rewards; or
- Requesting repayment where no future rewards are available or sufficient.
Taxes and Your Responsibilities
- Any rewards, commissions, or incentives you receive may be considered taxable income or benefits in your jurisdiction.
- You are solely responsible for:
- Determining any tax obligations that may arise from your participation in the Referral Program.
- Reporting any income to the appropriate tax authorities.
- Paying any applicable taxes, levies, or social contributions.
- Where required by law, we may withhold taxes, report payments to tax authorities, or request documentation (such as tax identification numbers, declarations, or residency certificates) as a condition of payout.
- Places To Visit With Dogs does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. You should consult your own professional adviser if you have any questions about your tax position.
No Earnings or Outcomes Guarantee
- Participation in the Referral Program does not guarantee that you will receive any rewards, income, or other benefits.
- Actual rewards depend on many factors beyond our control, including:
- How often and how effectively you promote your referral link or code.
- Whether your audience chooses to complete the required qualifying actions.
- Changes in our offers, eligibility rules, or program availability.
- Any examples of earnings, performance, or results that may be shared in our materials are illustrative only and should not be relied upon as promises or projections.
Program Changes, Suspension, and Termination
- Places To Visit With Dogs may, at any time and at its sole discretion, without prior notice (unless required by law):
- Modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program in whole or in part.
- Change reward structures, commission rates, eligibility criteria, or payout methods.
- Introduce, amend, or discontinue specific campaigns or limited-time offers.
- Where legally required or reasonably practicable, we will post updated terms or notices on our website, or notify you by email or through your account.
- Any changes will apply prospectively. Qualifying Referrals made before the effective date of a change will normally be honoured under the terms in effect at the time of referral, subject to fraud checks and other applicable conditions.
- We may immediately suspend or terminate your participation and/or withhold rewards if we reasonably believe that you have:
- Breached this Disclosure, our Terms & Conditions, or our Privacy Policy.
- Engaged in fraud, abuse, misleading advertising, or other unlawful conduct.
- Created a risk of legal, regulatory, or reputational harm to us or our partners.
Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Places To Visit With Dogs, its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable to you for:
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages;
- Any loss of profits, revenue, anticipated savings, or opportunity;
- Any loss or corruption of data;
- Any loss arising from the modification, suspension, or termination of the Referral Program.
- Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
- Where liability cannot be fully excluded, and to the extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability to you in connection with the Referral Program will be limited to the total amount of rewards actually paid to you by Places To Visit With Dogs in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Severability
If any provision of this Referral Program Disclosure is determined by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which will continue in full force and effect.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- This Referral Program Disclosure (and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Referral Program or this Disclosure, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
